Automatic reconstruction of 3D objects from images in photogrammetry
Simon Schuffert works on projects in the field of automatic 3D object reconstruction from images. These projects include automatic dense image matching with which 3D point clouds are generated from image data, and automatic self-calibration of cameras. In order to process the large number of high resolution image data in an automated workflow, he uses techniques with which the data are evaluated in parallel on multi-core processor systems.
